The Energy Way

 If All Is One, We Are One With All

As long as we are limited in our awareness or consciousness to certain levels of reality then that is what we assume is there. But all around in space there are certain energies which are always passing between people, which you know, but there are also various other fine energies that are around everywhere too – and these are usually outside our known reality. These energies which are all around can be connected with, and that of course helps with the whole theme I have practicing with you this week, and that is to see that if all is one, then we are one with all. This means that we need to let go our self-orientation, our identification with who we think we are – which keeps us in those limits I talked about – and to let go of that confined belief that this is what reality is: my thoughts, my heartbeat, my sexuality, my personal sense of myself – you have to let it go. This is very hard to let go of, but also very easy. And there is not really a plus on that; everybody wants a plus on what they already feel themselves to be, they want to add something, they want to grow, they want to expand themselves, but they want to stay in the same basis that they have been use to all their lives.

But what I am referring to requires an entirely different basis, and it is not a limited ego basis but a universal basis – and for that we have to let it go. The thing is, if you can let it go and find a deeper, truer, more universal basis, it doesn’t mean that you have to leave your life behind, which is the typical fear, that if you do that then your life will disappear: your relationships, your family, your work, the things you appreciate doing – because that is not true. In a way you have to let it go to find a new basis, but when you find the new basis you can move from that basis back and function in the world just as you did before – except not as you did before, in a very different way, in a universal way.

So this is a big work that we are all involved in, whether you know it in your minds or not – and you all know something is there – which is to shift from the basis of the limited ego, which is the thing we stand on, to let go and find a new basis in the One energy. But the pull of the old is so strong, and that is the difficult part, that the forces keeping us the way we have been going all our lives are extremely powerful. And everybody you know at home is also contributing to keeping you there – more or less everybody. So it is difficult to move but it is also easy because it is just one step. You simply say, “Yes.” Instead of, “Yes, hmm, interesting,” said with the curiosity that is there to be in that space, which you all know, “but now let’s get back to life.” That is what happens. But some people can recognise when they find that space that it is not just an alternative space but it is the beginning of something that is more real, more true, and more right than anything they have ever encountered before. And those people say, “Okay, so I have to live my life but my orientation, even if it is at the side, is to be with that place and renew my life. It can be born from the universe and not from the way of my parents, my family, my culture, my nation, my belief system. I need to drop all that and find a basis that is original again.”
